Smart Parking System

The Smart Parking System is based on characteristics and functionalities derived from the development of the SEI R&D project – Design and development of Smart Parking Control System (QREN SI, completed in 2015), but it is a system that has been be continuously improved at all levels, whether in terms of sensing, communications layer or user platforms and interoperability. Considering at present that it is a system with characteristics and potential equivalent, if not superior, to those of competition.


At the level of the sensors the detection is realized through a digital magnetometer of 3 axes; the encapsulation is made with hardened epoxy, robust, watertight and without direct contact with the exterior; no wiring is required, the sensors feature wireless communications and include batteries that give them autonomy for more than 5 years; are easy to install, the fixation to the ground is done through asphaltic glues, without need of drilling; and enable indoor and outdoor facilities;


At the level of the communications layer: the sensors support LoRa or SIGFOX, thus presenting, in the second case, a unique address and mapping in the SIGFOX network without the need for gateways or intermediate network layers. SIGFOX has an infrastructure that manages the network and all the packages, and has the ability to deliver the packages to its recipients;


At the level of the control platform and operation of the system: there are configurable operating modes, adjustable according to the type of application; scalability; compatibility/interoperability with other systems (signaling panels, indicators, gates, alarms, among others) and entities (users, managers, supervision); and multiple tools for monitoring and analyzing data from sensors.
